What I Help With

Every person's experience is different. I specialize in six core areas, using approaches tailored to what actually works for you.

🫁
Anxiety & Worry

Persistent anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, health anxiety, and generalized worry that disrupts daily life or relationships.

CBT · Somatic Work
🌧️
Depression

Low mood, loss of motivation, disconnection from yourself or others. We'll rebuild momentum without toxic positivity or empty advice.

ACT · Behavioral Activation
🛡️
Trauma & PTSD

Processing past events — childhood trauma, relational trauma, or single-incident PTSD — at a pace that feels safe and controlled.

EMDR · Trauma-Informed
💑
Couples Counseling

Communication breakdowns, trust repair after infidelity, life transitions, or simply wanting a stronger, more connected relationship.

Gottman Method
🔄
Life Transitions

Divorce, job loss, relocation, empty nest, identity shifts. Big changes don't have to mean losing yourself in the process.

Narrative Therapy
🔥
Burnout & Stress

Chronic overwork, people-pleasing patterns, emotional exhaustion. We'll map what's draining you and rebuild a life with actual margin in it.

Mindfulness · Boundaries

Therapy that actually fits your life

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. Every session is collaborative — you're the expert on your own life, I'm the expert on what helps people change.

1
We start with what matters most to you First session is about understanding your story, your goals, and whether we're a good fit — no pressure, no intake forms that feel like a diagnosis.
2
We build a plan together Based on what you share, I'll suggest an evidence-based approach (CBT, EMDR, ACT, Gottman) that maps to your specific situation — not just your diagnosis.
3
We track what's working and adjust Therapy isn't passive. You'll leave sessions with something concrete. We'll check in regularly on progress so you're never in sessions that aren't moving the needle.

★★★★★
"I came in convinced I was broken. Dr. Osei helped me understand I wasn't — I just had a brain that needed different tools. Six months later I'm sleeping, I'm back at the gym, and I actually look forward to weekends again."

"My husband and I were on the edge of separation. We started couples work with Dr. Osei and honestly it changed everything. We actually talk now. We actually listen. I didn't think that was possible for us."

"The EMDR work we did on my childhood stuff was the most uncomfortable and most important thing I've ever done. She made it feel safe. I'm not the same person I was two years ago and that's entirely a good thing."

Common questions

If something isn't answered here, the Maya chat below can help — or just book a free consult call.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or disconnected more often than not — and it's affecting your work, relationships, or daily life — therapy can help. You don't need to be in crisis. Most people start therapy to understand themselves better and build tools for handling life more effectively.
The first session is a conversation — not a test. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, your background, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. I'll ask questions, you can ask anything, and we'll figure out together if we're a good fit and what a treatment approach might look like.
I accept Anthem, Medical Mutual, United Healthcare, and Aetna. I'm also out-of-network for most major plans — I provide a superbill so you can submit for reimbursement. Self-pay sessions are available on a sliding scale based on income.
It depends on your goals. Many clients see meaningful change in 8–12 sessions. Others prefer ongoing work for deeper issues like trauma or chronic anxiety. We'll reassess regularly so you're never in sessions that aren't moving the needle.
Yes. All sessions are available via secure telehealth (video or phone) for Ohio residents, or in-person at my Cleveland Heights office on Fairmount Blvd. Many clients prefer the flexibility of telehealth — the quality of care is identical.
